About me:
I'm a 17-year old Yemeni girl with a Tanzanian
passport, who happens to live in one of the most
boring places on earth. Life here is pretty
monotonous, and unless you like shopping malls,
there's nowhere you can turn to for
entertainment. So, I guess that must be one of
the reasons why I'd love to travel all over the
world when I'm older, wiser (?), and with a
whole lotta cash! LOL. It's also one of the
reasons why I want a penpal from the other side
of this world, so we can share experiences and
stuff.
I like listening to soul music (fave artistes
are Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, etc. Yeah, I
know, my tastes are old, but I prefer them over
the modern crap), and surprisingly, I also seem
to enjoy a bit of j-pop/j-rock (yes, even the
cheesiest ones! ^ _^' ), that I get to listen to
from all the animes I watch… which brings me to
my other love- anime itself. I can pretty much
say I'm addicted , and it can't be helped.
Manga is pretty addictive too. Things I don't
like are: rap and country music; vulgar people;
no respect for other's beliefs, cultures and
practices; excessive preaching, etc.
I'm a pretty shy person- call me an introvert or
whatever, but that doesn't mean I'm not fun-
loving! I enjoy going out with my friends, and
have an active social life, so don't think I do
nothing but hibernate in my house all day.
Right now, I'm really into Japan… anything
japanese perks my interest, be it the culture,
food, music, history or animation. One of my
biggest dreams is to visit Japan someday, and
I'd love to learn the language.
Yep, I guess that pretty much covers it.

About the penpal I'd like:
I'd really love to have a japanese penpal,
someone who could tell me about all sorts of
japanese stuff, and possibly even teach me a few
words in japanese ( a few words or phrases is
all I ask!). It would be a big plus (but not
necessary) if she also happens to like anime
and manga, cuz it would give us something to
talk about.
However, I don't mind people from other
nationalities, cuz that would be cool too.
Except arabs. I have enough correspondence with
arabs here, and would rather communicate with
people of other nationalities. Like I said
above, if u like anime and manga, it would be a
huge plus (but not necessary). Only girls
please. Age limit: 16-19 years.
