About my students: Students are 13-14 years old and have just started their second year learning French. Students in Ireland begin to learn a third language at 12 years. English is their spoken language and they learn Irish at the age of 4 years.
About the penpals I'd like for my students: Students come from a predominantly middle class area and school, where alot of emphasis is put on educaton. They are very eager to learn French and wish to communicate with native French students.
