Moderate my emails
Sometimes, there can be a lot of spam coming through penpal sites. People
might ignore your request for a certain kind of penpal and send you ads
for their website, romance requests, or other stuff. You can choose to have
the Penpal Party moderation team review any contacts sent through the site
before they get to you to try to filter out some of the spam.
While you might think this is convenient, it does mean that the moderators
will be seeing messages intended for you. Also, the moderators only have
your profile to go by: if you have not specifically said "No males," for
example, they'll send along anything from anyone male or female. If you haven't
specified an age group, they'll send along anything from people of any age.
If you have specified that you're looking for French native speakers, they'll
delete messages from anyone who's not French.
Choosing this option may also mean that you will miss out on email that
the moderators think is spam based on your profile.
As you can see, there are downsides to this option. Just choose "No"
if you want to get all mail sent through the site without interference.
