Europe. My home city is Gdansk it's on the north

About me:
I would like to write with people from other
countries, especially from Scandinavia, in german
or english. I try also to learn danish since a
certain time, but I am quite beginner and would
like to improve my danish skills. I am interesting
in the way the people live, their way of living
ant the places where they live.
A little about me:
I am polish man (30 years old) who lives in Sudety
mountains in the south of Poland. To the forest
and the mountains there are only a few kilometers-
sometimes I simply go there if I need a little bit
peace. Or I was riding bicycle the countryside
around; it's quite relaxing to bike in a hilly
neighbourhood. Except the nature there are some
interesting buildings and other places of
particular interests, so that everyone can find
here something for himself.
I read a lot with pleasure, for instance
literature from Latin-America of G.G. Marquez, M.
V. Llosa or from the newer english authors Tom
Wolfe, Zadie Smith (a young english with talent).
Umberto Ecos' novels are also very interesting and
spannend.
I take a lot of time to read books, moore than I
eigentlich should take. But it happens so from my
childhood to the present. It had started with the
fairytales then it came to the novels and it
remains up to this day. With some pause between my
study, when I should be more concentrated on the
professional books.
I have studied history in Poland and Germany.
Unfortunately waits my M.A.-thesis for couple of
years on the final elaboration and conclusion- I
swear to myself that I must finish this work this
year and I hope it will be succesful. My M.A.-work
handles about east-german social policy in the
60's. My humanistic education and interests hold
me in the world of books, I would say, no matter
if they are novels or professional books
literature makes a piece of my life. It is good
for me that I like it and want it.
I have almost finish my study, but meanwhile some
money I can earn because of my german knowledge as
translator. I am standing a little on the
crossroad of my interests. As historician is maybe
to late to work in this profession (for a time
I had a possibility to stay at the university);
maybe I try my luck to act as a translator? I am
not decided yet and move my decision in the
future.
What kind of music do you like? I listen to Bob
Dylan, Pink Floyd, U2.
Now the night is coming in here and the typing
gets easier. I experience the darkness often as
good to read when the enviroment becomes quiet and
all go to their rooms/houses and the peace appear.
But there is also life disposition and the mood of
importance. If am in no mood it doesn't help much
to have a pleasant peace around me, of course. As
it goes good all appear better and one is grateful
for every so experienced moment. Even a cup of tee
or coffee makes pleasure: I see it at myself. As
it goes bad one doesn't know what to do with the
time it has. All the more one appereciates the
good moments and remembers at their taste.
